The purpose of this course is to provide an introductory understanding of credit scores and reports for women, and to help them take control of their financial future. The course is designed to empower women to understand the importance of credit scores and reports, and to learn how to obtain and interpret their credit reports, identify the factors that affect their credit score, and develop a plan to improve their credit score. The course will then delve into the process of obtaining and interpreting a credit report. Participants will learn how to obtain a credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus, how to read and understand the report, and how to identify common errors that can lower a credit score. The factors that affect credit scores will be discussed in detail, including the weight given to each factor and common mistakes that can lower a credit score. Participants will then be guided through the steps they can take to develop a plan to improve their credit score. They will learn how long it takes to improve a credit score and what resources are available to help. Throughout the course, participants will engage in activities, case studies, and quizzes to reinforce learning and make it more engaging. By the end of the course, participants will have a better understanding of credit scores and reports and be equipped with the knowledge to improve their credit score, which can help them take control of their financial future.
